Special Sprint Sale

Posted by on Feb 06 2012 | Generally Awesome

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Sprint for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Are you in the market for a new phone? I know…it’s a fun an exciting thing to shop for a new phone. Technology is advancing in such a way that there are always such new and neat things that a phone upgrade will give you. I’ve had my phone for almost a year now…don’t get me wrong…I still love it and all…but sometimes I think it would be nice to upgrade already.

Maybe when it’s time for me to upgrade, I’ll go with Nexus S™ 4G  or an HTC EVO™ 3D   . The Nexus 4G can even be had for FREE if you add it to your account or open a new line of service with Sprint. You could also get the Nexus free online only — a $50 MIR will convert to instant savings plus $99.99 Internet-only savings. How cool is that?

Is the HTC more your style? Well, listen to this. Get the HTC for $49.99 if you add it to your account or open a new line of service with Sprint. Or, you could also get it for $49.99 — online only — a $50 MIR will convert to instant savings plus $50 Internet-only savings.

Support Walgreens!

Posted by on Jan 15 2012 | Generally Awesome

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Walgreens for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Do you fill prescriptions at Walgreens? If so, I have some information that you may find interesting.

Up until now, Walgreens and Express Script s have been working together to provide customers with the prescription medications they need. Express Scripts is the go-between for pharmacies and employers with health plans that pay for medications.

Unfortunately, this partnership ended with the beginning of 2012 because the two entities could not reach a mutually acceptable agreement. So now, Walgreens is not included in the Express Scripts’ pharmacy provider network.

Walgreens tried very hard to salvage the deal to enable them to continue serving the many people who have come to rely on Walgreens for prescriptions. They even offered to hold rates flat without any increases. Express Script’s response? They insisted on unilateral definition of contract terms. Express Scripts also planned to cut Walgreens reimbursement rates to unheard of levels.

Walgreens is continuing to try to reduce the impact on patients even after this dissolution. They have come up with a way to enable many patients to continue to use Walgreens using a special  Walgreens Prescription Savings Club . Spend $10 annually for a family membership that covers everyone in your immediate family — spouse, dependents 22 and younger and even pets! Individual membership is $5 annually. This means that only a small number of patients are probably affected at this time — check the back of your insurance card – if it says “Express Scripts,” then you may be affected. If it doesn’t say Express Scripts, you are probably OK.

How do customers feel about this? Well, a recent survey showed that 82 percent of employers would not exclude Walgreens if the savings was less than 5 percent on their total expenditure. Sixty percent of of those surveyed said that they would not exclude Walgreens for less than 10 percent savings. A whopping 21 percent said that they would not exclude Walgreens from their network period.

LG DoublePlay

Posted by on Dec 15 2011 | Generally Awesome

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of LG DoublePlay™ for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I love the LG brand. LG stands for “Life’s Good,” so they’ve really nailed it,right? Anyway, I have never owned an LG phone, but my son has and he liked it. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy one.

Here is an LG deal I just happened upon.

Have you heard of the  LG DoublePlay™ ? Well, if not, hold on tight because you’re going to love this! Here are some tempting details:

This phone has dual customizable touch screens — a big one and a smaller one that will operate independently or together. How cool is that? It also has a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard and you can Swype your texts in too, Like to multi-task? Who doesn’t? with the DoublePlay, you can do things like update your FaceBook pages while surfing the Web, sending a text or checking your email.

The DoublePlay also has an impressive 5-megapixel camera with LED flash and a video recorder! You’ll never be without a decent camera or video camera to grab those moments as they happen. After you capture your memories, it’s an easy thing to share them via messaging, email or Facebook.

So…how reliant are you on your phone for social networking? As for me, my phone is never far away and I use it constantly. If I’m out and about and something cool happens, I often snap a pic and upload it to my mobile uploads on Facebook. Recently, I lost a bunch of pictures and it was so nice to have all of those pictures saved in my Facebook account — I would otherwise have lost them!

So…are you tempted? Go see the DoublePlay yourself and see what you think! I’m not a huge texter…pretty much just with my mobile kids…but it’s nice having this capability. I probably send about 50 texts a month. If I had the DoublePlay that might change, I don’t know. How many texts do you send a month? The DoublePlay might be the force behind you finally having a phone that can keep up with you! Think of the social networking options! Leave a comment and tell me how you use your phone now and how you think the DoublePlay would change that!

Don’t forget, the DoublePlay is available exclusively at T-Mobile.

Puppies or Babies?

Posted by on Nov 14 2011 | Generally Awesome

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Puppies vs. Babies for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Got any cute puppies or babies around the house? Got an opinion about which is cuter? Of course you do! Everyone does!

PvB-CuteDar-Green-300x250-Backup.jpg

As for me…I’m gonna go with babies. Why? Because I’ve had plenty of those and I don’t currently have any puppies around. My 16 month old blows any old puppy away, anyway. She’s cute with an attitude…what could be better than that??

Now’s your chance to vote in the Puppies vs. Babies online contest  . Consider the two  – Puppies vs. Babies  — and decide which you prefer. After you make up your mind, head over to the online contest and register your vote. You have from right this minute until November 23rd to vote. Get going, now…the winning puppy or baby will win $5,000!

It’s too late to enter the contest, but it’s not too late to vote. I wish I had known about this contest before, because I’m quite sure that this picture of my princess would have been in the running.

Don’t you agree?

Post a comment here and let us all know who you’re voting for!

Pack it and Keep it Cold with Packits

Posted by on Nov 08 2011 | Generally Awesome

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of PackIt for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Do you pack a lunch for someone near and dear day after day? Are you tired of struggling with ice packs that don’t keep the food cold for a long enough period? Don’t worry — that’s the cool thing about technology — it’s here to solve so many different issues!

Instead of using tired old ice packs, try  PackIt lunch boxes to keep lunches ice cold.

Picture 17

PackIt stays cold for up to 10 hours and it fits conveniently in your freezer. After finishing your nice, cool lunch, just neatly fold the bag up until you can get home to put it back in the freezer again.

This is a non-toxic, PVC and lead-free ice option so use it without worries!

One of my big pet peeves is the water we take along with us when we’re out and about — it gets warm and I hate that! It makes me want to buy cold water, but that’s such a waste of money. If we packed out water in Packits, it would stay nice and cold while we’re out doing whatever.

How do you feel about BOGO? Stupid question, I know. Here’s the thing…head over to the Packit website right now because they’re offering a deal where you can buy one Packit for $19.95 and you get a second one totally free!

Do me a favor…post a comment for how you would use a PackIt and why you think it would totally blow away a tired old lunch bag!

RIP Steve Jobs

Posted by on Oct 06 2011 | Generally Awesome

Like so many, I was very saddened to hear of Steve Jobs passing due to pancreatic cancer. It’s a devastating disease with tragic results.

Unfortunately, the treatment options that Jobs utilized to try to fight his cancer probably ended up killing him.

Reportedly, Jobs underwent both chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments, both in the U.S. and in Switzerland. Not only that, but he apparently had a liver transplant as well.

When you poison the human body, it responds with deterioration and eventual total shut down.

The sad truth is that these conventional medical treatments that mainstream medicine uses to treat cancer create a toxicity level in the body that shuts it down.
