NMEDA Can Help

Posted by Seeker on Aug 17 2010 | All Inclusive

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of NMEDA. All opinions are 100% mine.

The National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association (NMEDA) is a non-profit association that can help disabled people regain their independence.

Whether you suffer a disability yourself or you are a caregiver, NMEDA may be the extra assistance you need to find equipment that will enable mobility.

This is the only association that promotes safe driving and equipment for the disabled. NMEDA dealers sell handicap vans and vehicle modifications for the disabled.

NMEDA has both regular dealers and Quality Assurance Program (QAP) Dealers.

The QAP is a nationally recognized accreditation program within the Adaptive Mobility Equipment industry. The fundamental belief that motivates these QAP dealers is the belief that satisfying customers consistently requires a calculated approach to quality.

I was curious about how close I am to a qualified dealer. I visited the home page and entered my zip code into the dealers locator. I found that a dealer is approximately 45 miles away from me. Try it yourself! Enter your own zip code and see how close you are. Leave a comment here to share what you find!

Shopping Spree Anyone?

Posted by Seeker on Aug 16 2010 | All Inclusive

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Ramblers Way. All opinions are 100% mine.

Don’t you love a good shopping spree? How about one where you spend something other than your own money…even better, right? What if you had $200 to spend on wool products from American Comfortwear?

I personally would have a blast doing this. I wandered around this site and easily found many things I’d love.

Isn’t this lovely?

Photobucket

Before you react to the idea of a wool camisole…you need to understand this is not your Grandma’s itchy wool. No…the folks at Rambler’s Way have figured out how to make their wool soft and comfortable. Even better…this is not hot and heavy wool…it’s breathable and completely comfortable to enable you to wear it every month of the year.

I’m an animal lover, so I was happy to read their humane animal-handling practices. They breed their sheep naturally and they graze rotationally. They use humane handling systems to shear and sort. They use trained animals to protect and move their flocks also.

Visit this beautiful website and browse their plentiful selection of soft worsted wool apparel. Everything you will find is made sustainably right here on American soil, too.

Softball Creativity May Help You Win

Posted by Seeker on May 28 2010 | All Inclusive

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Softball Rampage. All opinions are 100% mine.

Any softball fans out there? Our family is big on both baseball and softball. As a matter of fact, the guys just got back from Miller Stadium in Milwaukee where they watched the Brewers beat the Astros 4 to 3. Good game! Good day!

On this same note…here is a different kind of softball winning opportunity.

Softball Rampage is looking for the best softball team names for softball teams that you can come up with. Got a good imagination? This contest if for you!

The winning is easy. Just go find the blog post for the contest and enter your best ideas for team names in the comments section. You may win $200 in RampageBucks Rewards, which you can then spend on their website to buy softball bats, gloves, and stuff.

I am horrible at naming things…pets, kids…you name it, I just cannot name things. My best shot at a creative name…let’s see…

Homerun Heroes
Super Sluggers

If you have even a shred of creativity, though, you really should try this. Nothing to lose…right?

Hey…if you think of some good ones, post them here in the comments section AFTER you go to the contest page and post your names there, of course!

You Gotta See This

Posted by Seeker on Apr 30 2010 | All Inclusive

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Incendia Health. All opinions are 100% mine.

As strange as it may sound, I actually have never talked to anyone personally who has has iLASIK surgery and I do not know anyone who has had the procedure done. Weird? Yeah…maybe.

Anyway, Abbott Medical Optics Inc. recently held a iLASIK Video Contest among people who have had the procedure done. The challenge was to make a video depicting how improved vision has changed their lives. The grand prize? $5,000.

Well, they’ve announced the winners now and there is some cool work here among these iLASIK patients. Definitely gives anyone considering this surgery some food for thought.

If you go to their website you can see the winners of the iLASIK Video Contest and see what I mean. While you’re there, look around a little bit. I even found that you can register to receive some great eye care products. Who couldn’t love that?

I don’t wear glasses, so this isn’t something I personally need to consider for myself, but perhaps it’s time to think about this procedure if you do wear specs. Hey…if nothing else, you can make a cool video and enter their next contest! By the way, AMO sponsored this content.

Walking Down Memory Lane With Dinty Moore

Posted by Seeker on Mar 26 2010 | All Inclusive

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Hormel Foods. All opinions are 100% mine.

Most people from my generation (born in the 60s and 70s) grew up with some form of Dinty Moore products filling their cupboards and filling their soup bowls. Because my mom was home with us when we were young, she did most of the cooking by scratch. Come to think of it…that was just the way most people did it back then. The life of “convenience” foods had really not been sprung on the American consumer yet. Anyway…we kids were the typical kids who always wanted what they didn’t get very often. For us, this was the Dinty Moore products. On the rare occasion when my mom didn’t have time to cook, it was usually Dinty Moore she pulled out of the cupboard. Oh…the excitement! It was hard to contain ourselves, but we managed and then we gobbled down the goodness.

Does this bring back memories for you too? If so…here’s a tip! Visit the hormel website. You will be amazed at the cool things you find. Recipes people! There are tons of them…and these are good ones that combine the goodness of Dinty Moore and Hormel with nutritious ingredients you have in your kitchen that you want your family to eat.

While I’m on the subject…does anyone other than me remember those old commercials? Remember that lumberjack whose name was “Dinty Moore?” He stuck his huge thumbprint onto every can…remember? The Dinty Moore advertisements have stood the test of time and continue to be relevant in today’s society.

Sponsored Tweets!

Posted by Seeker on Nov 18 2009 | All Inclusive

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Sponsored Tweets. All opinions are 100% mine.

Picture-26-468x306

Ready to hear about something new and cool? It’s called “SponsoredTweets” and it is an internet marketplace that allows you to connect directly with advertisers through Twitter. In return, advertisers compensate you with cash when you give them a sponsored tweet. Remind you at all of eBay?

Here’s how it works. Set your price…choose a category and some keywords…and wait for those offers! When you get offers, review them and either accept them or reject them based on how attractive they are to you. If you accept the offer, you will be credited within 24 hours. Not bad, eh? So far, Tweeters seem to think this is pretty hot. There are even celebrities involved, like Leann Rimes and Bob Vila!

Everything about this is designed to be ethical and safe. You are in complete control of your account at all times. That translates into complete safety and trust. IZEA never collects your Twitter password in this process and IZEA has successfully completed Twitter’s API approval process.

So…are you ready to sign up for sponsored tweets? Follow me over there!
