Several weeks ago, I received an offer to review my choice of different Walgreens Brand Health & Wellness Products . Interestingly enough, I’ve been having trouble with recurring headaches, and acetaminophen was one of the products I could choose…so I chose it. It arrived several days ago, and I’ve already taken it twice, with excellent results, I might add. I don’t like taking medicine, but I also don’t like suffering, know what I mean?

The acetaminophen I received has the identical active ingredients as other national name brands. This is the first time that I’ve tried this Walgreens Brand Health & Wellness Product, and I will definitely buy it again. What’s more, it also has a 100 percent satisfaction guarantee. I like knowing that I’m going to get what I pay for.

By the way, here’s something that might get you into Walgreens to make some purchases. The Walgreens Way to Well Fund™ will provide free health tests and other services and education to various communities. Health tests could be through the National Urban League Health & Wellness Tour and then you can get vouchers redeemable in specific stores.

Woman Arrested for Salvaging Food Dumped on Corner

Posted by on Mar 11 2011 | Uncategorized

Sasha Hall was approached by police officers for trying to salvage some of the 3,000 pounds of food that had been dumped on the street following a power outage at a local grocery store. Police tracked the woman down after she took items. She was charged with “theft by finding.”

While oil and food prices are rising and unemployment is rising, the inconsistencies are glaring. Most of the food was literally just sitting out for the taking following the unexpected power outage. If someone hadn’t taken it, it would have gone to waste.

Spring is Springing at Pier 1!

Posted by on Mar 08 2011 | Uncategorized

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Pier 1. All opinions are 100% mine.

Pier 1 and I go way back. In fact, over 20 years ago, I remember being in absolute heaven when Pier 1 started selling clothing. Oh…how I loved their styles. They were so, so, SO me. It was the best of both worlds — I could outfit my home with their decor and outfit my bod with their clothes.

Are you ready to shop for spring? It’s time to start outfitting your outdoor spaces with new stuff from Pier 1. Check out this Pier 1 Outdoor newsletter — it’s full of items that will get you in the mood for spring and shopping.

Do you have any must-have’s for this upcoming season? Here’s something I absolutely love. Pier 1′s outdoor furniture can go both indoors and outdoors. This is great for those three-season porches or casual sitting rooms. Go ahead and put some pretty wicker there — it will look fierce indoors and it will stand up to the elements outdoors.  This goes for rugs, too. Love this!

How about updating your patio with new cushions for your furniture? I saw some great deals on their website. You can enjoy this kind of splurge all spring and summer long.

If you visit the Pier 1 website, they have a sign-up for you. There is an awesome in-store offer that will bring you into the store during the weekend of March 18 – 20.

Oh, and don’t forget the amazing Pier 1 Tweetups either!

Deep Penetrating X-ray Body Scanners at Airports

Posted by on Mar 03 2011 | Uncategorized

The newest technology of full-body scanners that use full-strength radiation to look inside the body may soon appear at airports.

The new machines use ultra-strength radiation to look at bones and organs. The system actually uses the same X-ray technology that doctors and hospitals use.

The X-radiation can cause some health problems, including coronary heart disease, cell damage and even cancer.

Even the full-body scanners currently being used in airports a significant health threat. Scientists tell us that the body scanners expose the skin to radiation, which can alter DNA.
