Did you shop at Kmart this past weekend? I sure hope you didn’t miss the special shopping day on Saturday. I know…unfortunately 8/8 has past and I don’t want to rub it in too much…But right now I will just tell you some of the amazing Kmart Bluelight specials you missed. There are sure to be more, so don’t despair. Kmart always has more Bluelight specials!

Stay informed by following Kmart on Twitter and that way you won’t miss the next one!

Anyway…here are some amazing things that might be had (there were over 40 specials throughout that day). Unbelievable…right?

All patio furniture was 70% off the regular prices. Their regular prices are already great, so this was pretty awesome, in my opinion.

An extra 10% off diamonds that were already 70% marked down. Again, pretty awesome. I’m always in the market for new diamonds…my hubby will tell you that.

If I were you, I would just make it a habit to shop at Kmart every week so you won’t miss out on anything like this again!

Vitamin D Key to Healthy Brain

Posted by Seeker on Aug 12 2009 | To Your Great Health!

Sufficient vitamin D intake may be important for maintaining brain function later in life. Vitamin D is likely to be beneficial for reducing some age-related diseases.

Researchers measured blood levels of vitamin D in more than 3,000 European men between 40 and 79. Then the men underwent various tests of mental function. They found that the men with the highest blood levels did best on the test, and those with the lowest levels performed worst.

Vitamin D deficiency is widespread, especially among the elderly.

Vitamin D is synthesized by the body when exposed to the sun’s ultraviolet rays. The average person can get enough vitamin D from 15 minutes of sun on their face and hands per day.

Cashectomy for College

Posted by Seeker on Aug 12 2009 | All Inclusive

This cashectomy has been one of the most painful procedures I’ve undergone recently. My oldest son is college bound in less than one month…and I am tired of spending money! I can’t believe that I…the consumate shopper…am actually saying that. But it’s true and I am!

Add to the money woes is the anxiety over what we may be forgetting to buy and I am a total wreck!

One thing that has been an unbelievable lifesaver for us is a new service Sears is offering called “Web2Store” where you can shop online and have everything shipped to whatever Sears store you desire. No hauling and no unpacking for us! This rocks!

This is great for those bulky items that college kids think they need like butterfly chairs, microwave ovens, bedding…you name it!

College tuitions are rising every year. How about some help? Enter to win money toward college tuition from Sears and Upromise. $25,000 will be awarded. Every time you make a purchase at sears.com through Upromise.com you are entered to win. Or, instead enter free by checking out CampusReady. All the details are there for the taking.

Be sure to check out the

CampusReady app on Facebook, too. Very cool.
