Dragon is Going To Help Me Reach New Heights!

Posted by on Oct 10 2008 | Uncategorized

I have dabbled in writing for most of my life. My mother still has some of my earliest stories that she has saved and ever since I can remember I have wanted to either be a novelist or a newspaper reporter.

Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10 PreferredI just found out about a contest that I think is so cool. It’s called NaNoWrimo and it starts on November 1. This is a novel writing contest! Honestly…this is something I would love to do. But how on earth can I fit this into my already FULL daily schedule? It’s just not going to happen unless I find a miracle. Wait! Maybe I have found the miracle tool I need to accomplish something like this and much more.

If I were to even consider entering a contest like this, the only way I could swing it would be by using Dragon NaturallySpeaking for NaNoWrimo. I am an average typist. In fact, to illustrate my typing skills I went to Dragon’s site and took Dragon’s typing speed test!

Here were my results:

As you can see, if I were to use Dragon my typing output would dramatically increase. Maybe I really could write a novel in a month! Not only would this be a real possibility, but the time I could save just in my daily blogging activities would be tremendous. I write 5 blogs…on top of everything else I do daily for my family. If I could increase my multitasking capabilities by being able to compose blog posts while I am…for instance…doing laundry or cooking dinner…well, the possibilities would be very exciting for me!

I spent some time reading these Dragon Reviews and came away really feeling like I want and need to purchase this software. It will increase my productivity in a huge way and how can I not seriously consider buying this?

These are both great sources of information that will help you see how this software will enhance and increase your productivity.

Seven Foods That Can Help You Rest

Posted by on Oct 10 2008 | Uncategorized

Sleep allows the body to rejuvenate and restore itself. Sleep deprivation is one of the biggest causes of aging. Tiredness also affects your moods and can increase your risk of depression and anxiety.  Sleep deprivation can also affect your ability to use your brain. This can directly affect your creativity. It can also decrease your ability to think or react quickly, which may affect your ability to drive or do daily tasks.

Sleep needs vary from person to person. Studies indicate that most people are most effective when they sleep an average of 7 hours…but between 5 and 7 hours of sleep each night is a good range for most people.

The foods we eat can help us to sleep better. The following foods can help improve sleep patterns.

Bananas

Bananas balance melatonin and serotonin levels. These are the neurotransmitters necessary for deep sleep. They also contain magnesium, which is a muscle relaxant.

Chamomile tea

Chamomile is a mild sedative that calms and relaxes. This makes it a perfect antidote for restless minds and bodies.

Honey

Honey helps the brain relax because it contains orexin. This is a recently discovered neurotransmitter that’s linked to alertness.

Potatoes

Potatoes contain tryptophan, which makes the body sleepy.

Oatmeal

Oats are high in melatonin.

Almonds

Almonds can help you relax because they contain tryptophan and magnesium.

Flaxseeds

Flaxseeds are a rich source omega-3 fatty acids, which make them a natural mood enhancer.
